Hey Zombie Freaks! Well, another month has gone by and that means summer is slowly coming to an end...unfortunately. But fortunately there is an upside to look forward to at the end of August,The Festival of Fear in Toronto! And of course, once again, yours truly will be there! I'm really excited about this years' FoF as we will be officially launching the Zombiewood Weekly book there and continuing to promote the Zombie Handbook and Zombie Portraits too. We will give you more details as the event approaches, but for now, please enjoy this weeks Zombie-Bobble head.

Slow Zombie?

Greetings Zombie Nation! Fast or slow zombies,it's a question as old as "Night of the Living Dead" itself. In my opinion,'you got a zombie as shot up as much as this one,he's gonna be a slow zombie no matter what. A lot of Romero purists stick to the whole slow zombie idea, while newer movies, like "28 Days Later",show fast moving, enraged monsters. Personally,I like both, and like more and more zombie lovers out there,I can accept the fact that both can exist side by side. Heck,I even explain how and why in The Zombie Handbook, check it out if you haven't got a copy. And besides, that first zombie at the beginning of the original "Night of the Living Dead" looked pretty fast to me,and he was kind of an old dude to begin with!

Buckshot Barbara

Greetings Zombie Fans around the world! I'm still fine-tuning the art styles that I want to showcase in the big Zombie Comic that I'm working on,but some of them are pretty close to done. The style that this illustration was done in will definitely be used. I really like the stark contrast with just a hint of gray tone to solidify the image. I really want this to be a fun and worthwhile book to own so I'm trying to go the extra mile with the art. It should, with a lot of luck, sweat, blood, tears, and blood,be available around fall of next year. You'll probably know I'm in full swing when I put Zombie Daily on hiatus for awhile, although I'll try to keep it going as long as I can. Enjoy!

Zombie Stew 2 Part 3

Hey Zombie Nation! Every week brings us closer to the unveiling of the giant Zombie Stew 2 illustration. I'm thinking that both one and two would make great posters or even laminated place mats. I think that they would also make awesome throw rugs. If any of you out there have a great suggestion,or even a weird one let me know and I will definitely look into it. Thanks!

Sex Zombies in the City

Greetings Zombie Nation! No,it's not an image from Zombiewood Weekly, although Sarah Jessica Parker does make an appearance in that as well, this image was done purely out of spite. HA! Don't get me wrong,I am a huge fan of television shows that double as commercial ads portraying unrealistic romantic and material success, while featuring brand name designer clothing and footwear at high, high prices,( Man,I wish that I could write in a sarcastic tone ). This image answers the question,"Gee,you really zombified the crap out of them, you must really loathe that show huh?". The answer is "Yes"

A New Blast fom the Zombie Daily Past

Hey Zombie fiends! I'm back with another blast from the past. This image was done as a "fake' Zombie Portrait to test out some new rot and gore techniques that I would eventually use to improve my flesh destroying skills on real Zombie Portrait Orders. For this illustration I ended up using a small photo of Jim Carrey and just went to zombie town on it. I lengthened the jaw and tongue, really messed up the flesh and traumatized everything else. I really love how the eyes turned out.Go ahead, click on the image so you can enlarge it and scroll down over the gore....if you dare...! Enjoy!

Hope that you can make it out for Zombie Daily Zombiewood Weekly Week, where all the brain hungry stars will be out to shine!

A New Zomb-Bobble

Hey Zombie Freaks! Rob Sacchetto here again with a new zombie bobble head illustration. I call this guy Poor Skinned Head Zomb-Bobble. I'm hard at work right now on another series of images similar to the bobble heads that feature horribly mutated zombies! I can't wait to show them to you. They have been great fun to do,and I feel that I've barely scratched the surface of how cool mutated dead flesh can look. Those will be coming very soon so please stay tuned. Later...

Bikinis and Bullet Holes

Hey Zombie Nation! Time for another "Hot" Zombie. This time sporting a teeny bikini and some rather ineffectual bullet holes. This brings up a huge question that I've been meaning to ask you zombie nation, and that is whether of not I should show nudity on this site. So far it has been pretty PG but I realize that a lot of zombie and horror movies show heaps of gratuitous nudity that entices the audience so I'm wondering if I'm depriving you fans of that by not showing any on this site. I have come very close but have not wanted to exclude any youngsters from enjoying the lighter side of the living dead. Let me know what you think, after all, this site is for you zombie nation.

Death from the Darkness

Greetings Zombie Peeps around the globe. And I do mean around the globe! Zombiewood Weekly is getting international coverage. As well as getting tons of coverage in the United States and Canada,I did an interview for the biggest newspaper in Spain yesterday, and just this morning had a live radio interview about the book for a huge station in Sydney Australia! Zombies WILL dominate the globe! Also,I do hope that you love today's image,it is one of my most recent personal favorites. See you soon!

My Pet Zombie Portrait

Hey Zombie Nation! One of the most frequent questions that I'm asked about regarding my Zombie Portraits is,"Do you zombify pets?" And,of course, the answer is YES! In addition to doing "couples" portraits with the pet and owner zombified, I also do a number of orders with the pet only. No pet is too big or too small to be turned into the undead. The person who ordered this particular pooch, got the zombiefied image as a tattoo as well! Now that's a true zombie freak!

Zombie Night Out 2

Hey Zombie Fans! Today's image is another tightly detailed zombie outing from the "Zombie Night out " series. When this series is done I will be able to attach them all together to create one large zombie drawing. I love the idea of working on a number of smaller drawings that could combine to make a bigger piece. I've done the same for the Zombie March,Zombie Snapshot, and Night/Day of the Living Dead. And,theoretically, all of the Zombie Portraits that I've done over the years could also be combined to create possibly the largest zombie drawing on the planet. Hmm... Some day...

Zombie Stew 2 : Part 2

Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more parts and the final reveal coming soon. And,don't forget to order your copy of "Zombiewood weekly:The Celebrity Dead Exposed"! It'll be out at stores within days but you can get it delivered before hand by pre ordering your copy today! See you soon!

My Zombie Comic Host

Hey Zombie Nation! Well,as you all know from past postings,I'm working on a zombie comic. And,in the tradition of great horror anthology comics like Creepy, Eerie, House of Mystery and a host of others,I thought that I'd have myself a host or narrator to introduce each story. Well this is what I came up with. She's kind of a zombie witch-like character. I'll probably introduce each story with her in a splash page involving similar elements to that in the following story. Let me know what you think Zombie nation!

Smilin' Zombie Bobble Head

Greetings Zombie fans across the globe! This week's Zombie Bobble Head would love to give you a great big hug,but somewhere along the way,he lost his arms. I really had a great time doing this fun series of zomb-bobbles. Mostly,I think it's because I really didn't set out to do a series at all. They just kind of came about one day and then just as quickly ended. That's not to say that I won't ever do any zomb-bobbles ever again, but, like any other series of zombie drawings I've done in the past, they just have to appear in my head unprovoked. Enjoy!

I'm Not Infected

Hey Zombie Nation! She says that she's not infected. Is she lying? Is it a trap? Do you run in the opposite direction and play it safe or do you throw caution to the wind and help her escape the zombie hordes that are right around the corner. She may be eternally grateful and reward you for your efforts or she may be in it for your brain. Tough call or easy decision?

Toxic Mutant Zombie

Hey Zombie Freaks! Here is another sub-genre of zombie that I'm really anxious to explore in illustrating, the mutant zombie. I have done a few in past Zombie Daily posts but I think that I haven't even scratched the surface yet. The kinds of zombies I'm referring to here are like the ones seen in Planet Terror,Resident Evil and even Dead Alive. They are dead flesh creatures but they can mutate and become larger, freakier and even more horrific. More to come...

Backward Glance Ghoul

Greetings Zombie Nation! Well, after almost a week with only color images,I figured it was time to get back to a black and white image. I like these kinds of zombies because they still have all of their features but they are extremely emaciated and crusty which makes them fun to illustrate. They've got all of those neat little nooks and crannies that make inking them in a real blast. Enjoy!

Zombie Stew 2 : Part 1

Hey Zombie Freaks! As I mentioned in yesterdays post I'll be revealing parts of a new, giant zombie drawing in the coming weeks. This piece may be used for another puzzle, the inside cover to a comic book project that I'm working on,or,as one of you suggested, possibly a giant poster. The two Zombie Stew pieces look really cool next to each other so it could be a possibility. Let me know what you think, and I'll get the gears in motion.

Giant Zombie Jamberoo : Zombie Stew 1

Greetings Zombie Nation! Remember a while back, way, way back,I posted some images entitled "parts of a whole"? No? Good. Because they were pieces from a giant zombie drawing I did that I just realized I never posted in full. Well, here it is. This drawing was originally intended for the cover of The Zombie Handbook, but it was instead used as the inside front and back cover. Go ahead, open your Zombie Handbook and see for yourself. If you haven't got one ,I forgive you,as long as you pick one up immediately!! They're super cheap if you order one from Amazon.com. This piece is also being used for journal covers and a kick ass puzzle brought to you by the good people at Andrews and Blaine. Those items can be purchased at books a million and Barnes and Noble. But wait, there's more! Tomorrow I'll be posting the first piece from the even bigger Zombie Stew 2!! Enjoy.

Crazed Brain Revealing Zomb-Bobble

Greetings Zombie nation! This weeks Zomb-bobble is a real favorite of mine. In the attempt to make each individual Zomb-Bobble different,I made this guys head seem to open like one of those eggs you'd see in Aliens to reveal his brain. Kind of reminds me of those weird monster toys or models you see from time to time that don't really make sense, but are just strangely cool anyway.

Zombie Lady and the Zombie Tramp

Hey Zombie Nation! Ok,ok,you come up with a better title! This was a case of me having sketched out two separate zombie heads in profile and then not really knowing what to do with them. Often what I do in illustrating a couples zombie portrait,is have one person chewing on the other so that they are connected by a large goopy strand of viscera. So,for these two ,I thought, hey why not do something similar? So,I redrew them facing each other connected by some bloody tissue, and there it was! I think that it could be our next Valentine card.

Zombie Fashion Statement

Greetings Zombie Fans! 'Hope that you loved yesterdays' post. Today's image is another great example proving that fashion magazines employ zombies to model their clothes. I got this image from magazine that shall remain nameless, but has been in Vogue for a very long time. Aside from the obvious zombification changes, the model in the magazine appeared virtually identical to how she looks here. Huh,and here I thought that only secret military scientists employed zombies.

Future Zombie

Hey Zombie Lovers! I started drawing this image not really knowing where it was going to go,but more and more it began to take the form of the terminator, you know, where he emerges from the time bubble? And I thought, wouldn't it be cool if zombies were used as a military weapon of the future, and could strategically materialize inside the enemies' perimeter. They could wreak some awesome devastation. Once again, could be a neat concept....
