Bloody Seductress-Hot or Not?

Hey Zombie Nation! Ok,same type of babe in revealing underwear, positioned in standard come hither pose, but this time she's passively munching on entrails and she's covered with blood and open wounds. Oh,right, and of course she's the living dead. I ask again zombie freaks,is she hot or not. This should be interesting.....

Zombie Night Out

Hey Zombie fans. Well as you've no doubt seen so far on Zombie Daily,I love illustrating zombies in good ol' black and white. Don't get me wrong,I love color too,but when I start a drawing in just pen and ink, thoughts of those old Savage Sword of Conan magazines and those fantastic European artists who contributed to Heavy Metal come rushing in. I like to keep a loose but controlled line that all at once looks messy but slick and then give elements in the foreground a thicker holding line to pronounce them more. I feel that there is a lot more freedom in simple black and white and of course,it is a lot quicker. Enjoy!

The Head Trauma Kid Zomb-Bobble

Hey Zombie Nation! I hope that you've been diggin' these zomb-bobbles. I had such a great time putting them together and was so pleased with the results, that I think I'm going to actually get some of them made as actual bobble head figures!I'll let you know how that goes in future postings. This poor kid looks like he suffered some acute head trauma before transforming into one of the walking dead. Awwwww ever cute.

A Bullet for a Zombie

Hey Zombie nation! Man oh man, even when I was a little kid I was drawing this very type of image. The classic "Zombie gets shot in the head" shot. I think that there are so many fun ways to depict this action I'll probably end up doing a bunch more in the future. I think that the next one will have much more explosive results.Let me know what you think. Enjoy!

Shot to Hell

Hey Zombie fans! Being a zombie has a lot of problems attached to it. Sure, you get to travel in cool gangs picking on people in abandoned farmhouses. And of course let's not forget the brain eating, that's pretty awesome too,but there is a downside. Often you gotta wear smelly outdated clothing, flies lay eggs in your orifices, and those pesky living humans or prey as you'd like to call them are always trying to defend themselves. Getting shot up is pretty insulting even when you're alive, just ask Fitty cent, but when you're dead, they just keep pumping round after round into you, expecting you'll go down. Especially if they've never seen a zombie movie before. You could be walking around for months looking like a spaghetti strainer before someone does the honorable thing and pops you in the skull.sheesh!

Fashion Magazine Zombies

Hey everyone out there in Zombie land! I don't know what it is about the fashion industry, but I tell ya,75% of all models out there are posed as,have make up like, and or have physical attributes similar to zombies! Here is another example of,with a few minor adjustments,I can turn a model in a fashion mag into a flesh eating ghoul. Just for fun,go to a news rack and flip through any fashion mag. I guaranty you will find at least five models that look ominously similar to the living dead. Try it out.

Deadly Beauty

Hey Zombie fans! It's our 550th post today! I hope that you've enjoyed the ride so far! Today's image is a little more subtle than what you've come to expect thus far, but I hope that you enjoy it nonetheless. It's kind of a "zombie at rest" type drawing and I would like to explore more of these if you're game. Let me know what you think. You can leave your opinion in the comments section as usual. Thanks for tuning in!

Crazed Cadaver

Hey Living Dead Fans! Often,in order to effectively draw zombies,I really try to imagine what got them dead in the first place. This of course is key in figuring out what body parts to mangle, how much or little signs of decay to show,if they've been shot at,and even whether they are exhumed or just simply turned by infection. In the case of this Crazed Cadaver,I thought that maybe she had fallen chest deep in a pool of piranhas after having been a zombie for a while.....yeah I like that.

City of the Living Dead

Hey Zombie fans! Here is an example of what a welcome might look like when you enter the suburbs in a city overrun with the walking dead. I'm doing a lot of black and white drawings right now in preparation for my big zombie comic anthology. I will be posting some sneak peeks of that project in the coming weeks. I hope that you all enjoy them. See you soon.

Mad Harriet Zomb-Bobble

Hey Zombie fans! It's that time of the week again, time to present to you another Zomb-Bobble. This one was one of the last ones that I ended up drawing and I went really "cartoon stereotype" with her. She's got the rolling pin,the curlers and slippers so there's no doubt that she's one of those old-timey house wife type zombies. Fans of Zombie Daily can let me know what you think of the Zomb-Bobbles in the comments section.Enjoy!

A Star Trek / Zombie Blast from the Past

Hey Zombie Freaks! As I've mentioned before, from time to time,I'd like to post an old favorite from the hundreds and hundreds of zombie illustrations on Zombie Daily. This Spock zombie was posted last year after I stumbled upon a great website called Bad Spock Drawings. The site is hilarious and I asked if I could submit a drawing and they agreed. The rest is Zombie history. Hope you enjoyed today's image and thanks to those of who weighed in on yesterdays question. Keep your comments comin'.

Zombie Babes,Hot or Not?

If you said "hot",you may need psychological help. Hey zombie fans! Back with another original image for ya. Why should vampires get all the hungry hotties? I plan to break the stereotype with a number of appealing zombie babes spread liberally over the coming daily posts in an effort to answer the question,"Can Zombies be Hot?" If you are so inclined, leave a "hot",or "not hot" under the image in the comments section. Enjoy!

Space Zombies

Hey Zombie Fans. Here is an image of a zombie genre way too overlooked but that really deserves it"s due, zombies in space. Yes,being trapped in a farmhouse with hundreds of zombies outside hungering for your flesh is bad,but imagine the futility if the same scenario was played out in the cold desolation of space. Now there's a predicament to chew on. Enjoy.

Half a Hooker

Hey everyone out there in Zombieland! I'm getting geared up for a series of violent trauma zombie drawings which include massive amounts of physical damage to the walking undead. 'Should be a lot of fun. I don't think that I really explored a lot of "as it happens" living dead destruction on Zombie Daily so the prospect of doing that is exiting to me. I'll be working on the first of what I hope to be many, zombie bashing drawings this week, but for now, please enjoy Half a Hooker.

Ready to Pop Boil Head

Hey Zombie freaks! I hope that you enjoyed yesterday's podcast. Today's image is one that shows where I"d like to go style wise with at least a couple of entries in the zombie comic anthology. Really insanely detailed and gross. Be sure to listen to our next podcast when we reveal a major contributor to the project. In the meantime, please enjoy the boilhead.

Dessicated Beauty

Hey Zombie freaks! I hope that you like today's image. I think that I will be doing a few more in this similar style as practice for.....A new zombie comic project I'm working on! I just finished doing some artwork that will be featured in Jonathan Maberry's new book Rot and Ruin,(which,by the way...I'm actually IN.read it to find out),and now I will turn my attention to the comic book world. I have wanted to do a zombie comic for years and now, finally,it looks like it's gonna happen. I will keep all of you zombie freaks updated as the weeks go on. Stay tuned!

"Model" Zombie

Welcome zombie freaks! As I've mentioned in the past,I look virtually everywhere for reference in doing Zombie Daily images. Magazines are a great source of human fodder to zombify. Sometimes you get really lucky and the person or model is posed very zombie like way. I find that very often in fashion magazines. It's almost as if the models are trying to look as much like the living dead as possible. Today's image is one of those. Keep it up girls!

Deranged Zombie Monkey Logo

Hey Zombie fiends! Today I bring you the deranged zombie monkey logo. This was an image that I was going to use as one of my Zomb-Bobbles but I wasn't convinced that a body of any kind would add to this evil rotter. Instead I left it as a stand alone image resembling some sort of company logo. I'm not quite sure what the company would do....maybe they could produce deranged zombie monkeys or something...just a thought.

The Angry Dead

Hey Zombie fans. Here's another highly detailed black and white zombie drawing for you. This one was a full size 8x10 illustration so I got to put in a lot of great gory details. To see this image larger,of course, all you have to do is click on it. It will open up a lot bigger in another window so that you can see all of the nasty details I like to throw into a zombies' rotting flesh. By the way, stay tuned for another podcast coming soon,we'll have some great news for all of you out there in zombie land!

From Across a Crowded Room

Hey Zombie Freaks! Me again, with another post on Zombie Daily. This color drawing was taken from some Hollywood rag I saw in the waiting room of a place we get our printer cartridges refilled. I have no idea of who it was originally,as there are soooo many "stars" in la la land nowadays. I just did a little sketch of the pose, brought it home and reproduced it on a piece of watercolor paper. That was it. As I've mentioned in other postings,I often use magazines for a lot of Zombie Daily drawings. It really helps when you've got some nice clear photo reference to work from. Enjoy!

Gorylocks

Hey Zombie fans! Here's a quick little black and white zombie sketch using Canson watercolor paper. That's the paper I mentioned in an earlier posting that I couldn't recall at the time. For me,as a watercolor paper ,it didn't work out so well, but as a sketch pad I think that it is one of the best for inking on. Plus,if you are using permanent inks, you can add some nice washes over top for depth. Hope you like today's image.
