Nose Bleed Zombie Section

Hey zombie freaks,me again with more living dead imagery. This guy is just another shlep of a walking corpse who got really cheap tickets to his favorite teams' game and ended up in the nose bleed section. hey, sometimes zombies aren't real good in the thinkin' department. Any higher up and his nose bleed would constitute a head shot, thus ending the unfortunate ghouls afterlife. Hmmmm...interesting theory.

Old Habits Detail Redraw

Hey Zombie freaks! I loved the design of the zombie from "Old Habits", that I decided to give him a little more life as a redraw. I really miss doing those totally bizarre,out-of-my-head,type ideas. This particular zombie head kinda reminds me of the 'Goldblum version of The Fly. Enjoy!

Old Habits

Hey Zombie fans! Rob Sacchetto here with a really fun zombie for your viewing enjoyment! I was thinking that I've been ding a lot of the more "realistic looking" type zombies this time around in Zombie Daily, and I thought it might be fun to do the kind of living dead drawing that I did when I started the blog way back when (over 470 posts ago). So,here he is,a zombie who, probably in his former life was probably a bit perverted and went around flashing people his junk. I think it is perhaps a good thing that I chose draw this image from behind.

Zombiemania

One of the treats of working on the documentary Zombiemania, was getting to capture people's inner zombie. Here is Boyd Banks, zombie extraordinaire who appeared as 'The Butcher' in Land of the Dead, Diary of the dead and the Dawn of the Dead remake.

Speaking of treats... Happy Thanksgiving to all our American friends in zombieland... Hope you didn't fill up on brains!

Say Hello to my 'lil' zombie!

You may be wondering (or maybe you haven't) what the Sacchetto's have been up to these days? Well, zombieportraits make an excellent gift, so that being said, Rob's been up to his neck in zombies these days. It's gonna be a zombie Christmas here once again. This is our third one since launching Zombieportraits in late Nov '06, and Rob's got over 700 of his paintings around the world! The virus is spreading for sure... ;)

Shamblin' at the speed of Death

Hey all you guys and gals in zombieland, here's a little zombie trivia for you... Recently, when we were in Toronto doing a book signing, our cabbie told us about how in Nepal, the doorways are all make very low. So low, that everyone has to duck to enter, even those of smaller stature. The reason, he said, is that the Nepalese believe that zombies lack the physical functionality and forethought to duck, thus protecting them from the living dead entering their homes...

Zombie fact or fiction? You tell us!

More Zombie Mutation

I love the whole idea of zombies mutating into even more disgusting creatures and I plan on exploring that idea more so in the future. Just the thought of dead flesh twisting itself into even more bizarre monstrosities really gets the imagination going. Hope you enjoy this one.

Zombie Showgirl

Hey everyone out there in Zombieland! Remember that poster design that I posted a while back for that 'Vegas zombie walk? Well, here's the little zombie showgirl image that appeared in the bottom right corner of that poster. It again let me use colors that I don't usually get to use when doing zombie type art and thus,I loved doing it.

Mortified Model

Can't get enough of those zombie chicks! Hey zombie freaks! This zombabe pinup is a lot more "put together" than most of the ones that I do but I hope that you like it all the same. Hot chicks are another great hazard in the coming apocalypse as they are still rather enticing...well...to some people....Ahem..

Living Dead Doll

Kids as zombies. The only thing creepier is the zombie clown. Of course the more sweet innocent or trusting something should be,the more terrifying it is as a zombie. And that's usually how the lousy brain biter gets ya. you move in close, too close and Bam! it's chewing out your wind pipe! The lesson here is trust nary the innocent child nor the jolly clown!

Stepping Out

Hey Zombie freaks! Here is another great zombie pose a friend originally did for The Zombie Handbook. The body language says "I'm dead, but I'm still hungry." To answer a popular question,Yes,I do use models as often as I can but as you can see from earlier posts, and future ones I do love to just draw freaky, stuff based on just the stuff in my head too!

Zombie Crazy Freakout!

Hello to all the festering zombie masses! Today's image is kind of a pastiche of different zombie details that I use when testing out new rotting ripping and other gross out effects that I want to use to spice up my Zombie Portraits. Basically I will take a face,in this case it was a Jim Carrey photo from a magazine, and test out a bunch of different styles of rot and decay. Sometimes the results are totally f#u@ed up,but in this case it ended up looking good enough to post. 'Hope you enjoy it!

Out of the Darkness

Hello everyone out there in Zombieland! Today I bring you another fun image that was done primarily in pencil but has a solid ink "background" of sorts. I just really love the way these images jump off the page using this technique. A lot of these images are fairly small, about 5X7 inches or so,but they allow me to add a lot of detail nonetheless. Often in the case of the color images,I'll use the left over pieces of water color paper after I cut them for Zombie Portraits. Gotta help save the watercolor paper tree!

The Zombie Dance

We took so many photos to use as reference for the Zombie Handbook, that we couldn't possibly have used all of them. However some of them were so good that I had to use them any way that I could. That is the beauty of Zombie Daily. For me it's a great way to get myself drawing new and weird zombie art. Oh,the fun of it all!

Zombie Hair Day

Hey Zombie friends,Rob here! Today and tomorrow I'll be posting images that were zombie poses friends did that were going to be in the Zombie Handbook, but were not used. I really appreciated all the hard work everyone did to pose for them so I ended up using them for Zombie daily illustrations instead. 'hope you like 'em.

Day of the Dead

Well,it's been a while since I've posted a more "fleshed-out" drawing,so here's this! I truly love this illustration. The composition, the character in the zombies, the color choices,I dunno,it just all really came together this time. And again, the original piece seems to really have a great sense of depth. I think that it really relies on the red haired zombie in the foreground. That red really sets her apart from the rest of the heard and that cold stark white sky. 'Hope you like it.
