Foxy Red Bikini Zombabe

Another artist whose work I've always adored is Liam Sharp, another Brit'. I was first introduced to his art in the whole Marvel UK line many years ago when he was kinda like a Jim Lee clone. He has since ascended into one of the finest comic book illustrators out there having done books for Verotik and DC. I always thought that he drew great torsos, and this drawing I find, ended up looking very reminiscent of his style.

Zombabe with the Blue Bikini

I often render my zombies with little to no facial features, just rotten flesh or muscle hanging from bone, but sometimes I like giving my zombies a little personality through a slightly rotted face. Either way is good for me.

Ok folks this will be the last post for a few days,as we will be in Toronto at the Festival of Fear promoting the Zombie Handbook and Zombie Portraits!!! Hope that you enjoy this image and don't forget,if you are a newcomer to this site, there are hundreds of images that were posted last year for you to peruse, and a whole lot of podcasts. Andrea and i will be back on Monday and I will post five images to make up for our absence. Wish us luck! -Rob Sacchetto.

Creepy Old Zombie

I kind of like treating the drawings for Zombie Daily.com like they are part of a series and can one day perhaps be fitted together to create one giant image or a number of medium sized images. This one for example is part of a "snapshot" series by which I take a random photo of someone and turn them into a zombie, and then add a similar background to it,(in this case trees). Of course the result, after doing twenty or thirty of these, would be something that could be put together to create one big zombie drawing! In fact,I,m inadvertently creating the biggest zombie drawing known to man,as all of the six-hundred plus Zombie portraits could be almost seamlessly put back to back in one giant WALL OF ZOMBIES!!!!!

AAAAAHH!

I'm hard at work on the next crop of Zombie Daily art and a lot of it is as detailed as this image. I just adore getting right into rendering the living dead for all of their gory details and as you can see in this one,I had a blast. I think that I used one .2 Pentel pen for the entire drawing and then used a pocket brush pen to add a little weight with a holding line and that was it. In total, this piece took about three hours or so to complete. 'Till next time - Rob Sacchetto.

Half Life

Hey everyone,Rob Sacchetto again here to share another zombie drawing with you. This image was another quick color rendering that I think is based on an image from a magazine, either an ad or random photograph. I changed the hair style, obviously the skin tone and of course opted to give her the more defined half skin, half muscle and tendon look. This may suggest that when she was attacked by zombies, she was probably half way into a safe place, while the other half was exposed to hungry teeth and clawing hands. Enjoy!

Unfamous Monsters : Bud

Hey everyone,Rob here! I think that this is the last of the Unfamous Monsters zombie series, but I may end up doing some more in the future. They were a lot of fun to draw and,as I've metnioned in other postings and probably even podcasts, they are loosely based upon the "Famous Monsters" magazine cover paintings of Basil Gogos. This particular one is slightly different from the others in that it was rendered in pen instead of pencil. Enjoy!

Torn

I was pretty skeptical as to how this living dead girl would turn out. It was one of those days where you've just got no particular vision or ambition to find a particular vision for that matter, but you kinda wanna draw. This drawing started out as one of those. Just aimlessly moving my pencil around the paper. Well once the drawing revealed itself I really began to see it take shape and I feel that it is one of the better close up colour drawings.'Hope you like it! Rob Sacchetto

Deadly Arousal

This is a style that I can pull off very quickly and allows me to add a lot of detail to my "hot"zombies, amongst others. I grew up on Heavy metal magazine, poured over countless Bernie Wrightson and Frank Frazetta black and white pen and ink drawings and I absolutely love the simple but detailed line art approach. As I continue to post images, you will get to see many more fully realized pen and ink zombie drawings. I hope you love them!

School Photo Day

Someone once asked if I could zombify an entire school yearbook. Aside from the time it would take and the work that would be involved doing it I think that it would be an absolute blast! But like most great ideas, this one is a lot easier said than done. The amount of organization on the school and students' part would be staggering, however if I were ever to receive such a challenge,I would greet it with open arms because it would be so cool! In the meantime I do enjoy doing these year book like zombie drawings because they are so quick, characterized and satisfying.

I ... See ... Brains !

This image was originally a tattoo design and I've actually simplified it and turned it into a tattoo that will soon be available on tattoo finder (to access it and a plethora of other tats designed by me click the link to the right). This version is simply a 2B pencil sketch on 80Lb artist sketch pad paper. 'Hope you like it!

See you at Rue Morgue's Festival of Fear, in Toronto, ON, Aug 28-30th.

Zombie Fashion Week 2

Hey Zombie Fans,Rob Sacchetto here! I love flippin' through fashion magazines. You can find them everywhere and they are a great source of reference for so many reasons, primarily the proportions of the human body,or should I say the "super skinny" human body. Some times the models in fashion mags actually look like honest to goodness zombies, and so ,I've done a number of zombie daily images that have been directly influenced by the sometimes laughable, but always interesting fashion industry.

Cadaverous Canine

Hey everyone! Not too much to say about this guy other than I really enjoy drawing Zombie Animals. They are,to me,a really untapped resource in the pantheon of zombie images. If there are any zombie animals that I haven't posted yet that you would like to see, leave your suggestions in the"comments" section.

Zombie Hannibal

"I ate his liver, and lungs, and braiiiiins.......! After doing a Lecter movie marathon,I thought,'Wouldn't be cool to see the cannibal as a zombie?' And,so,I give you The Zombie Hannibal! Of course when you think about it,aside from the difference in his appearance and odor, not much about him would really change, after all he would still eat people.

Blond Zombshell

Another in my huge catalog of zombie pinups, the blond zombshell, was illustrated on a different watercolor paper than the kind I normally use,and kind of ended up looking a little more candy coated than my usual living deadgirls. A lot of people are still on the fence as to how they view my zombie chick drawings, some say hot while others think repugnant. What do you think?

Ultra Ghoul

I have to say,I love this drawing! It's one that came purely out of my noggin and was a real joy to render with all of that crazy detail. Also,it's kinda based on a zombie- like villain that I created for my own comic book series which I would one day love to publish as the first four issue series is completely done. Someday....

Zombie Poses for Zombie Daily Entry

Just a straight ahead zombie rendering in color from what was originally to be the "how to draw a zombie" tutorial. I figured that it needed a little movement ,so I decided to use the image of the zombie walking.

Cornered

As the zombie plague wears on,some of the living dead might begin to attain a state of self awareness and with that, self preservation. This zombie, when confronted by humans seeking shelter, ran and hid at the sight of guns. As unlikely as it may sound,it might be possible that the living dead could evolve, and begin to develop skills they had in their former lives.

Zombie Elephant

Ok folks this will be the last sneak peek from The Zombie Handbook,so enjoy. This image depicts an extreme close-up of perhaps the most destructive of the zombie animals, the zombie elephant! Just imagine if the zombie virus got loose in a local zoo and infected all of the wild animals there! Even the regular zombies would have to watch out because of all of the ensuing chaos that would result! A charging zombie elephant could simply tear your house apart to get to your sweet brain so boarding up your windows wouldn't do squat! Definitely something to thing about if you live near a zoo.

Puke of the Living Dead

Zombie digestion is another area covered in the Zombie Handbook. Of course being dead really puts a limit to the effectiveness of bodily function as can be seen in this close-up from page 59. That same page shows two other rather sickening ways that zombies "digest"all that human flesh that they devour. Bon appetit!

Nano-bot Augmented Zombie

Here's an extreme close-up of one of the three super grotesque nano-bot technology created zombies from The Zombie Handbook. The rest of the image shows an extremely mutated zombie that has assimilated other life forms to adapt to its surroundings and become a better hunter/killer. For the full story on this and other abominations check out pages 104 and 105 of The Zombie Handbook. See you tomorrow-Rob Sacchetto.
